The account setup itself takes a few minutes. During your onboarding call, it’ll take 45-60 minutes to choose all your system settings, migrate your repos or start a new one, and run through a few example issues and design reviews. After that, you’re ready to go.
No, though you can set up backup mirrors for your repositories in Github/Gitlab/Bitbucket if you so choose. In a traditional cloud trial, your designs will be hosted in AllSpice-managed SOC 3 Type 2 and/or ISO27001 compliant servers.
Absolutely! We believe hardware development is collaborative at its core, and try to make it as easy as possible for people to join and participate in reviews. You can add both internal (within your organization) or external (CMs, vendors, design partners) stakeholders. Collaborators are unlimited and free.

If your team decides AllSpice is not for you, you can choose to terminate your accounts after the trial period. You can migrate your repos to other git services, and download PDF versions of your issues and design reviews. We’ll hold your data for up to 6 months.
